Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Part-Time Web Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining our websites, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and user experience. Key Responsibilities

WordPress Site Management: Oversee the operational health of our websites, including updates, theme and plugin management, and customization.

Plugin Updates and Management: Ensure all WordPress plugins are regularly updated and functioning correctly, troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Server File Maintenance: Manage and organize server files to ensure fast and reliable access to website resources.

Backup Continuity: Implement and monitor regular backup processes to safeguard website data against loss or corruption.

Web Development: Utilize HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and MySQL to build and improve website layout, design, and functionality.

Hosting Support: Maintain the websites via a third party hosting provider to resolve technical issues and ensure reliable uptime.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with design and content teams to implement new features and enhancements.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred, or a related field.

Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems efficiently.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Required

• Proven experience in web development, particularly with WordPress sites and multisites.
• Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and MySQL.
• Experience with server management and file maintenance.
• Familiarity with backup processes and data recovery strategies.

Preferred

• Knowledge of API integration and management.
• Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies and support.
• Familiar with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as LearnDash.

Work Location: Remote

A flexible schedule is expected; initial months may require longer hours that will decrease over time and adjust as projects develop.
